Twenty two of this year's finest science fair competitors from across Massachusetts have spent the past week in Los Angeles at the International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF)
, sponsored by Intel. They have been part of a field of over 1700 students competing at the highest level from 70 nations and regions around the world, and we could not be prouder or more impressed by their accomplishments.
Their week has been packed with opportunities to display their projects for judging, but also to meet and mingle with a wide array of scientists and professionals, including an afternoon session with Nobel Laureates. Other opportunities were also available to visit museums and other sites of interest in the Los Angeles area.
We can't help but wonder if the best part, though, is exemplified in the attached photo. Universal Studios was open one evening exclusively to ISEF attendees, allowing everyone to have a fun night of play amidst all of the work.
Congratulations to all participants! We will have more to report soon about how our Massachusetts delegates did at ISEF.
